A firewall is a device
that is placed between your internet connection and your office
computers. This device allows many computers to “share” the
one connection to the Internet. If you have high speed internet, a firewall is a must.
If you do not have a firewall, your connection and computers are
exposed to the internet “Hackers” and your data could be in
jeopardy.
We choose Fortinet firewalls. These firewalls feature:
Connection
Sharing, Virus Protection, Intrusion Detection and
Prevention and Content Filtering or the ability to
block websites that are not productive or prohibited by your
company.
The Intrusion Detection / Prevention feature protects
your computers from hackers and keeps your information safe.
The Anti-Virus feature inspects all of the information
coming in and going out for know viruses, in both emails and web
connections. This firewall also has the ability to block know file
types that carry viruses as well. Since
these files can be blocked both in emails and web connections, you
network is protected from viruses “in the wild” or not know to
by anti-virus programs. This feature is in-valuable.
The Content Filtering feature can be set
to block certain websites or functions from operating in your
office, keeping
your office save and secure.
As with all the products we sell and service,
this product (once set) is automated.
Anti-virus and Intrusion detection / prevention updates are also
automated and applied on an hourly basis.
